I’ve always loved giving gifts.

Growing up, I was the one who would spend far too much time thinking about what to give someone. I loved finding the unexpected idea, making gifts myself, wrapping them beautifully, and imagining the person opening them. The search was part of the pleasure.

I never wanted to give something simply because an occasion called for it. I wanted it to feel personal — something that said, I know you. I remembered. I thought about this.

That instinct never really left me.

Over the years, I became the person friends and family would turn to when they didn’t know what to buy. And I realized that finding a truly thoughtful gift can be surprisingly difficult — not because there aren’t enough things to choose from, but because there are far too many.

That’s why I created The Intended Gift.

With a background in design and a lifelong love of beautiful objects, I wanted to create a place where the searching has already been done for you. A considered collection of things worth giving — from a little something that simply made me think of someone, to a gift meant to be kept for years.

Some finds come from names you know. Others are things you might never have found on your own. Price matters less to me than intention.

The question I always come back to is simple:

Who would I give this to?

Because the best gifts aren’t just beautiful things. They make someone feel seen.

Think of me as the friend you call when you don’t know what to buy.

I’ve done the looking.
You just have to choose.
